Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences (MUK) was established in 1365 as a research educational complex of the Kurdistan Regional Health and Treatment Organization. This university has 5 faculties of medicine, paramedicine, health, dentistry, nursing and midwifery. Currently, the number of academic members is about 250, of which 5 are professors, 32 are associate professors, 157 are assistant professors, and 56 are instructors. Also, there are about 2,386 students in 38 fields of study at associate, bachelor, master, and specialized doctorates and assistantships. are studying and the number of employees working in the university is 9418 people.
