Ergonomics is a scientific discipline that studies interactions between humans and other system elements, as well as a profession that uses theory, concepts, data, and methods to design for human well-being and total system performance.
Many people suffer as a result of working and living conditions that are incompatible with their requirements, abilities, and limits. This condition has an impact on individual safety and well-being as well as the safety and well-being of organizations and society as a whole.
Technology has the potential to make our lives more efficient and exciting. However, our obsession with technology and unrealistic corporate goals can lead us to overlook human-component hazards. Manufacturers, suppliers, and service businesses may suffer major consequences if these risks are ignored.
As a result, in the postmodern era, a degree in ergonomics and human factors will be more important to aid in the propagation of theoretical and practical aspects of the field, advancing the frontiers of knowledge through research and innovation and promoting health and wellbeing through ergonomically designed products and workplaces.
In terms of educational excellence and research products related to ergonomics studies, the Islamic Republic of Iran is now the pioneer in the Middle East in offering this course. The course's primary goal over the next ten years is to develop committed, knowledgeable, and capable professionals in this multidisciplinary field.
