Our fundamental goal is to set the bar for clinical psychology excellence by combining clinical practice, research, and education. Graduates will have access to a wide range of training and research opportunities. They gain a solid understanding of theories, research techniques, and clinical psychology history, and the capacity to assess and interpret clinical psychology examinations. The Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology has three major objectives: first, to broaden students' knowledge of clinical psychology; second, to prepare students to conduct and evaluate empirical research; and third, to prepare students to become competent in clinical assessment, interviewing, and intervention.
Students who complete the program will be well-prepared to work in a range of environments. Our alumni work as academic researchers in psychology and psychiatry departments, as well as practice clinical psychology in academic medical settings, tertiary psychiatric institutions, community mental health centers, and private practice.
