Nursing is a self-contained program and a sub-discipline of medical science. Nursing graduates will work in fields such as health care, education, research, consulting, prevention, management, and rehabilitation as members of the healthcare team. The first degree of nursing education, the B.Sc. in nursing, was designed based on scientific and religious criteria. Nursing education at the B.Sc. level prepares professional nurses to assume responsibility for health evaluation, coordination, and execution of care for individuals and families in a variety of settings as general staff nurses.
