Commemorating 1757 years of higher education in Iran.

The "Symbol of Higher Education in Iran" logo, celebrating the 1757th anniversary of higher education in Iran and marking the 90th anniversary of the University of Tehran's founding, has been unveiled. Festivities marking this occasion commenced on the 8th of Khordad, 1403, and will extend until the year's end.

The public relations report from the University of Tehran highlights the proposal made by Dr. Seyed Mohammad Maqami, the President of the University of Tehran, to recognize the institution's 90-year history alongside Iran's 17 centuries of higher education. This proposal, which also aimed to celebrate Iran's 1757-year history of higher education as a national achievement, was presented to the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution in the year 1402. Following approval in a meeting held in the Esfand month of 1402, the proposal was officially endorsed during the 898th session of the council on 28 Farvardin in the year 1403 under the leadership of Ayatollah Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Ra'isi. The members of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution approved the University of Tehran to take on the responsibility of commemorating the academic tradition.

"Iran, the pioneer of the 1757-year-old academic legacy worldwide, and the University of Tehran, proudly embodying this national heritage at 90 years old," serves as the theme for the University of Tehran's ninetieth-year celebrations, reflecting on the historical journey of the University of Tehran in the year 1403."
