Dr. Morteza Ashrafi, a talented pediatric neurosurgeon, recently achieved success in performing the first surgery for congenital kyphosis at Hazrat Ali Asghar Children's Hospital, affiliated with Iran University of Medical Sciences. The procedure was carried out on a 7-year-old patient suffering from severe hunchback, lower limb weakness, urinary and fecal disorders resulting from a congenital disorder. The child's overall condition is currently reported to be favorable post-surgery.
